Started by breast surgeon Dr. Manpreet Kohli, the nonprofit
I PINK I CAN aims to remove barriers to care for women undergoing breast cancer treatment at Monmouth Medical Center. Our first event in 2021 brought together a community of patients, caregivers, and hospital staff, and was open to all who want to help these patients in their fight. We continue to raise funds with community engagement events and an annual Pink Party each October so that all patients who need assistance are able to receive immediate support.

The Impact
Our organization is dedicated to supporting breast cancer patients in every way possible. From funding scalp cooling to providing financial assistance for medications not covered by insurance, we strive to make the journey through treatment as smooth as possible. We also offer support for those who have not been able to work due to the rigors of care, including funding for housing, food, back-to-school items, and more.
